How Much???

I bought $20 gift-wrapping paper from a kid down the street. We were doing our part in supporting our neighborhood elementary school. Not even kidding, $20 for two rolls (you would think they're embedded with diamonds....at least some CZ, come on now). Sophie finds it in my closet while I'm taking a shower and starts playing with the rolls and galloping down the hallway like she's riding a horse. And of course, Tim does not intervene (and he even knows how much those puppies cost!). I do my best to remain calm as I snatch them out of Sophie's hands... what's left of them anyway. Now I have totally creased and crumpled wrapping paper, which I have absolutely no shame using this Christmas.

Come to find out, the stinkin' kid who sold us the wrapping paper ended up being the top seller in school. The little salesman of the year is walking away with a $550 giftcard to Best Buy! I hardly remember getting incentives like that when I was selling candy bars out of a stupid cardboard case!

Our gift wrap was only 8 dollars! LOL. Am I a bad teacher that I didn't buy any to support my own school?? Oh well! I can get 20 rolls for the price of 2 at the day after Christmas sale!

Wrapping paper is RIDICULOUS! The only thing Target had yesterday was a whole roll that was $4! I know it makes me sound like a cheapo, but I just need it for one gift - what happened to those nice little packages??? The concept of "bulk" buying is clearly not something I need to worry about at this point in my life...

I just love that you brought back great memories of making my parents take my candy bars to work so they could sell them there! 20 dollars is pretty steep but I know our house is the easy sell also, I think the word is out- we get so many kids coming to our house I swear it is like some underground operation.
