So, it's a Friday night and I am left with all my children sleeping (Sophie, Tim, and Sierra) while I suffer from it's-too-painful-to-sit-lie-sleep-stand-walk-breathe-syndrome. I seriously think this baby would live in my womb for another 9 months if he could. I almost want to go out of town somewhere because you know that would be the perfect time for this little bugger to try and come out! I'm already playing games with him and myself...not a good sign.
On a happier note, Tim's last day of work was today. He has decided to take a paternity leave and will be home with the babies and me for a good 4 weeks. I am so impressed he is doing this, considering he has never taken a sick day in his life nor does he ever use any vacation time. Of course, by the time he left work he received at least 3 phone calls from work asking what Tim calls "stupid questions." I swear, sometimes I think he moonlights as the chief of staff at the Oakland Children's Hospital the way he receives phone calls from work. I mean, not to minimize the emergencies that come up at a golf course, but the phone calls he gets makes it seem like he is constantly talking these people through life threatening situations. And Tim has this love-hate relationship with all of it. He hates being bugged all the time, but then I know he loves knowing he is so valuable and needed at the course. We'll see how he does with this time off. He and I both know he'll be making frequent trips to check on things at the course, but at least he is doing it "unofficially."
Tonight, we all went to this ice cream parlor in Walnut Creek for dessert. Sophie was so excited she couldn't contain herself. Tim ordered her a scoop of strawberry ice cream (per her request) and added some sprinkles to the order. I'm so sorry I didn't have a camera to capture the moment she got it. Her eyes were so big and this huge smile came across her face. She finally took her spoon and delicately dug in realizing it was a little difficult. She was so anxious to get a taste of it, she just smashed her face right into it for a good licking....too cute! I did get a pic of this on my cell phone, but until I'm tech savvy enough (or find the time) to figure out a way to upload it to my computer, you will have to imagine this in your head.
