Due to unknown circumstances, the varsity softball team at my high school is coachless. I should have known to hide once this fact was made public. I have not committed to coaching the team, but I have volunteered (if "volunteered" is the same thing as "elected") to give my time and run practices until they can find someone more permanent (anyone?). Let's just say working out on the Wii, or on the treadmill, or in a fancy gym is nothing compared to getting back out there and taking cuts, hitting grounders and running outfield drills. I am sore in muscles that have probably developed cobwebs since playing ball (slowpitch doesn't count).
So here we go...I'm taking any and all advice, I'm hoping someone out there is willing to fly out and help me? I'm trying to enjoy this and figure out how to fit everything in during the day with two small kids....let's just say Noah and Sophie might be out there doing some soft toss this week. I have to get some quality time in there somehow!

Awesome! Remember to tell them to keep their eye on the ball :)
Oh my, what have you done!! LOL How are you going to fit everything into the day? If anyone can, it's you! You will be an amazing coach!
You know that the school has stopped looking for a coach now right? Why would they look when they have an ace on staff? Get the kids out there with you, they will love it AND you will have about 15-20 babysitters right?
Never was much for sports - I'm more the spectator so you'll have to settle for prayers from me! Sounds like this could be fun for you and the kids! Sophie looks great in your helmet! The important thing is to have fun!
That's going to be great. I'm sure you'll love it. I'm with Natalie though. I think this job is yours now. No use in looking for any one else. You'll have to keep us posted on how your team does. I want to see your team in action. Have Tim be your videographer.
