Busy weekend

These 24-hour work days are tough. How come no one ever told us about this when we signed up for this parenthood thing??? Not that I'm complaining; I'm just curious.

Anyway, it never seems to be a dull day in our household. By 9:30 am this morning, I ran out of crafty activities for Sophie and me. Sometimes I feel like the only way I can keep her entertained enough is if we were to join the circus. She painted for what seemed like forever and managed to get paint all in her hair while I wasn't looking. And the day got away from us so quickly she ended up wearing the red streaks in her hair all day.

Tim is installing new doors to all the bedrooms and bathrooms, so our house looked like a construction site all day. It seems like Home Depot and Lowe's are our second home these days.

Noah was a good little baby today. He literally sat in his swing for a good 30 minutes just looking around, enjoying the view....a first for him. Usually, he's sick of the swing by minute 2 and is crying his eyes out. Not today, thank goodness. Sophie, unfortunately, couldn't get by without hurting herself today. She bumped her head and now has a little knot on her head. I'm beginning to think she is going to end up as clumsy as I am.....not good. Every time she gets a scrape or bumps her head, my stomach hurts. Why would someone give a hypochondriac mom an accident prone child??? Why?

So, our Sunday will most likely be as busy as today was. I was so looking forward to getting the mail today because I was certain I was going to receive my US Weekly magazine (don't judge me). I was looking forward to reading it during my down time (usually now until Noah's next feeding). I seriously think someone has been stealing it because I didn't get last week's issue either....these tabloid magazines are addicting and we all know what's been happening lately!!! Anyway, I guess I'll have to catch up on Britney on Monday.
