Why is it?

Why is it when I come home and tell Tim I am feeling tired, it is NEVER quite as tired as HE is feeling. Even if I only had a couple of hours of sleep the night before and was on my feet all day at work, there just is no possible way I could come close to how tired Tim is....EVER.

Why is it when Tim is sick, no one else's illness can compare? He is SO sick and in SO much pain that no one could possibly understand how horrible he feels.

I'm just wondering......really, apparently I can't imagine how tired and sick Tim actually is. Someone help me understand.

Well, let me see if I can help shed some light on this situation. Tim lived at home for...how many years?...17, 18 then a couple more on and off while in college? Okay...so during that time the master of "this is one for the record books", better known as "they will probably want to write me up in the latest medical journals" was on prominent display with each and every tired moment, devastating runny nose and debilitating virus. Tim, being the good 'grasshopper' that he is, absorbed the techniques of the master like a sponge and over the duration of his time under the masters tutelage honed them into superior skills. Unfortunately, I am not sure if you can stop the cycle but if you are willing to try, just be sure to remove Noah from his presence whenever he is in this condition. Wait...that probably isn't feasible, is it?

I am sorry to tell you though, that while it has not yet been scientifically proven, most women my age truly believe it has much more to do with the male gender than with heredity...just ask Cricket...we witnessed a similar situation today with a complete stranger who felt compelled to tell us that he had been ill for 5 days and had to go home to his mother because he just cant deal with illness.

Ya, Lori is right. Our waiter at Olive Garden, adorable young man, had been off work for 5 whole days - he was sick. He admitted to being a typical male type and going home to mom while he was ill. I have noticed over my many years, "60" to be exact that men are babies when it comes to any type of illness and the common cold is not common when a man is struck down with it! Nooooo, it is life threatening, dibilitating, and last but not least have you ever noticed how slow they talk? Yes that is right, the common cold slows down their vocal process. Look at this way girls - they don't yell as much for a few days! Unless of course you are like me and find it necessary to laugh hysterically every time they open their mouth or attempt to move their poor body!
