I attempted to surprise Tim with a trip to Vegas for our anniversary. It was complete with a great stay at the Bellagio and up-close, center seats to see Jerry Seinfeld. Unfortunately, I'm ignorant when it comes to hiding evidence and Tim ended up finding out...I didn't let it spoil our time...although I am paying for the great time we had now (I need at least 24 hours of straight sleep to recuperate)! The trip in a nutshell:
1. Vegas is hot in August. Very hot. Think hairdryer in your face on high type hot.
2. It's been a long time since Tim and I have been in Vegas....since when does Planet Hollywood have their own hotel/casino? And why are the casinos so far apart? My feet are killing me!
3. Don't order a glass of cheap white wine at a show....it'll cost you $16.
4. Seinfeld still has it. The guy made my stomach hurt and made me cry he is so funny. I was glad it was dark in the show because my hysterical laughing was not a pretty sight.
5. All the nice hotel/casinos smell like flowers when you walk in. The not-so-nice hotel/casinos smell like cigarette smoke and feet.
6. Winning isn't everything. Personally, I don't think Mr. Wynn is rich enough.
7. Tim and I break even by stealing bath soaps and shower gel.
8. Food is great everywhere. Everyone eats four meals a day because no one sleeps. We waited 30 minutes for a table at the Bellagio coffee shop for our fourth meal (and it was well after midnight).
9. Not ready to go home? Give up your seats on an overbooked flight....one more night in Sin City with two free round-trip tickets to boot.....NOW we're even! (Not really, but that is what we choose to believe).
10. We hope to not wait four years before we come back again! Happy Anniversary Tim!
